Kerry Murphy Joins Crimson Tide Football Team

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team welcomed another player into the fold on Monday with the addition of defensive lineman Kerry Murphy.

Murphy has been certified by the NCAA and enrolled Monday at the University of Alabama. He is the fourth player to be added to the 2009 Alabama football roster at midterm.

Murphy (Hoover, Ala.) joins freshmen Chance Warmack (Westlake High School, Atlanta, Ga.), Jermaine Preyear (Davidson High School, Mobile, Ala.), and offensive lineman James Carpenter (Hephzibah, Ga.) out of Coffeyville [Kan.] Community College. Carpenter (Hephzibah, Ga.).
