
Women's Golf Moves Up to Eighth in Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The No. 7 Alabama women's golf team moved up one spot into eighth place in the Mason Rudolph Championship after shooting a 292 (+4) in today's second round. The Crimson Tide has carded a 590 (+14) through 36 holes on the Legends Golf Course. UCLA leads the field heading into the final round with a two-day score of 562 (-13)
Sophomore Camilla Lennarth set the tone for UA in the second round sinking four birdies on the front nine en route to a two under-par 70. Lennarth tallied her fifth and final birdie of the day on the 18th hole and will enter third round play in a tie for 17th at 144 (E).
Senior Kathleen Ekey posted her fifth straight round of par or better with an even par 72 on day two. Ekey knocked down four birdies in her round and sits tied with teammate Lennarth in 17th place with a score of 144 (E).
Freshman Brooke Pancake will begin the third round in a tie for 36th place at 149 (+5) after shooting a 75 (+3) in round two. Sophomore Courtney Harter matched Pancake's day-two score and holds a two day total of 154 (+9) which leaves her in a tie for 62nd. Harter and Pancake scored one and two birdies respectively in the second round.
Junior Helena Blomberg shot 79 (+7) and is tied for 72nd entering the final round. Blomberg has a two-day total of 157 (+13). The Tide wraps up play at the Mason Rudolph on Sunday.
