
Women?s Golf Moves to Second At LSU/Cleveland Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. ?? The Alabama women's golf team moved into second place after round two by turning in a 9-over-294. The Tide improved from fifth place and shot five strokes better on the day to sport a two round score of 23-over-599. Florida State remains in first place with an 11-over-587 at the LSU/Cleveland Classic at the University Golf Club.
Alabama got two even par rounds from sophomore Rhea Nair and junior Laura Goodwin to pace the Tide on day two. Nair is currently tied for seventh overall with a 3-over-147. Goodwin is tied for 17th overall with a 6-over-150.
Junior Kathleen Ekey followed her first round score with an identical 4-over-76, to sit tied for 28th with teammate Courtney Harter. Ekey and Harter both sport an 8-over152. Harter shot a second round score of 5-over-77.
Freshman Camilla Lennarth rounded out the Tide scorers with a 6-over-78. Lennarth is tied for 40th overall with a 10-over-154.
Playing as an individual senior Sarah Sturm showed improvement in the second round with a 3-over-75. Sturm is tied for 54th overall with a 12-over-156.
