ALABAMA DROPS TO 2-4 IN SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

ALABAMA-FLORIDA SERIES
Alabama and Florida met for the 35th time Saturday with the outcome leaving the Crimson Tide with a 21-14 edge in the series.
TIDE'S 13-GAME WINNING STREAK ENDS
Alabama's loss to Florida ended Alabama's 13-game winning streak, the longest by an Alabama team since winning 28 in a row from 1991-93. The Tide's 13-game winning streak began with a 30-24 win over Colorado last season in the Independence Bowl. The current streak marks the 21st winning streak of 10 or more games in school history, an NCAA record.

STRONG 3RD QUARTER FOR THE TIDE
Trailing 17-10 at the half, Alabama controlled the third quarter to take a 20-17 lead into the fourth period. Alabama ran 25 plays for 156 yards (6.24 yards per play) in the third quarter and outscored Florida, 10-0. The Crimson Tide had the ball for 10:33 to the Gators' 4:19 in the third quarter. The Tide had a 15-play, 91-yard drive (6:53 elapsed) that resulted in a 2-yard touchdown run by Mark Ingram that tied the game at 17-17. On its only other possession of the quarter, Alabama posted a 10-play, 65-yard drive (3:40 elapsed) that ended with a 27-yard field goal by Leigh Tiffin to give UA a 20-17 lead with eight seconds left in the quarter.
COFFEE MOVES UP SINGLE-SEASON RUSHING CHART
With 112 yards rushing against Florida, Glen Coffee surpassed 100 rushing yards for the fifth time this season and the sixth time in his Alabama career. Coffee reached 1,300 rushing yards on his first carry of the third quarter after rushing for 62 yards in the first half. He had 50 yards rushing in the second half against the Gators. With 1,347 yards rushing this season, Coffee moved into fourth place on the Alabama single-season rushing yardage list.

INGRAM MOVES UP RUSHING TDS LIST
Freshman running back Mark Ingram scored on a 2-yard run with 6:20 left in the third quarter to tie the game at 17-17. That touchdown was Ingram's 12th rushing touchdown of the season, tying him for 8th place on the Alabama single-season rushing touchdowns list.

JONES RACKS UP 3RD 100-YARD RECEIVING OUTING
Freshman receiver Julio Jones surpassed 100 receiving yards against Florida with 124 yards on 5 receptions, marking the third time this season he has reached the century mark. His 64-yard pass reception on a pass from John Parker Wilson in the first quarter was the longest pass play by Alabama this season, and the longest Crimson Tide pass play since a 67-yard pass from Wilson to DJ Hall vs. LSU on November 3, 2007.
JONES JUMPS TO 4TH ON SINGLE-SEASON RECEIVING YEARDAGE LIST
Jones, who entered the SEC Championship Game ranked 10th in Alabama history for receiving yards in a season with 723, moved past six former Alabama greats on the list with his 124-yard performance against Florida. He finished with 847 yards on 51 receptions, smashing Alabama freshman records for catches and yards.

With two field goals against Florida, Leigh Tiffin has made 19 field goals this season (in 26 attempts) and has made 52 field goals in his Alabama career. His 19 field goals this season ties for 5th on the Alabama single-season field goals made list. He holds the single-season record with 25 set last year. Tiffin's 52 career field goals ranks him fourth in Alabama history behind Philip Doyle (78 from 1987-90), Michael Proctor (65 from 1992-95), and Van Tiffin (59 from 1983-86).

MCCALL, WALKER PLAY 51st GAME
A pair of Alabama seniors played their 51st career game when the Crimson Tide in the clash with Florida, moving into a tie for the second-most games played in school history. Bobby Greenwood played in his 50th game for the Crimson Tide on Saturday to become the 15th player in school history to see action in 50 games. Former fullback Tarrant Lynch (1990-94) holds the Alabama record with 52 career games, which included a fifth year of eligibility due to a medical hardship. Former offensive lineman Matt Hammond (1990-93) and linebacker Lemanski Hall (1990-93) are second on the list with 51 games played.
