- Daughter of Thomas and Jennifer Strauthers
- Father, Thomas, was a star defensive end at Jackson State in the early 1980's. He was drafted by the Eagles in the 1983 NFL draft and played eight seasons in the league for Philadelphia, Detroit and Minnesota.
- Mother, Jennifer, played basketball at Arkansas College (now Arkansas State University)
