2006 (Freshman): Carried the ball two times for 22 yards with a run of 19 yards against Louisiana Monroe. He played a total of 15 snaps on the season. He missed the final nine games of the season due to an injury.
Prep: Came within two touchdowns of the Mississippi State record with 113 career touchdowns at Lumberton High School. He tallied 2,700 yards and 36 touchdowns in his senior season. He was tabbed Mississippi’s Mr. Football as a senior and was named to the All-State team. Also played baseball and track. Member of the National Honor Society and graduated with honors.
Personal: Son of Joseph and Albertstein Grant. Born 3-31-87. Has one brother, Lester, who played football at the University of Miami and competed for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI against the Green Bay Packers.
