Alabama vs. LSU
Quotes & Notes
Alabama Head Coach Jim Wells
"We got what we needed from (Tommy) Hunter. He was tired and had little rest for two weeks in a row, but he did what he had to do. I don't know if we can slow Ole Miss down. They've been hot, real hot and have been putting together runs."
Tommy Hunter, Starting Pitcher
"It's always nice when two runners on and the pitcher gets out of a jam. (Jake McCarter) has done it a few times out. I should be the first to greet him, because he's doing what he's supposed to do. I'm a little tired. It's hot out here, but I'm not going to make excuses. I just couldn't make pitches. Luckily, Jake came and finished it out."
Evan Bush, Second Baseman
"This year I've given the team as much as I can. We just wanted to turn around and I give them what I can."
LSU Head Coach Smoke Laval
"We hit the ball pretty hard today. We hit it probably harder than they did. If you hit the ball hard, there's not much you can control after that. We walked eight batters and had five errors. We've had crowds on the road before, that's not going to affect us. The larger the crowd, the better it probably is for us."
LSU pitcher Chris Cahill
"I felt fine going out there, I just didn't have it today. I think we will be fine after this. We've bounced back before and we'll bounce back this time."
