TUSCALOOSA ?? The Crimson Tide women’s basketball team is set to host a free clinic for area youths, grades one through eight, in conjunction with Homecoming activities at the University for the week of Oct. 23.
“We want to thank the community in advance for all of their support with this free clinic,” Tide head coach Stephany Smith said. “Homecoming is always an exciting time and we hope to be able to help as many of the kids in the area as we can.”
The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday, Oct. 28 prior to the Alabama-Florida International football game in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama women’s players and coaching staff will be on hand to conduct the free clinic, open to all area youths who are in grades one through eight.
Opportunities will be available to join the Crimson Tide Kid’s Club and the Junior Fastbreakers Club.
“These clubs are opportunities for us to develop a connection with our area youth that we might not otherwise have,” Smith said. “We are excited about the possibilities for our club and look forward to interacting with all of those who choose to join.”
