Tuscaloosa, AL--The Alabama Soccer team will hit the road for Southeastern Conference games this weekend at Arkansas and LSU. The Tide picked up their first SEC win this past weekend against Mississippi State. Alabama will face Arkansas Friday at 7:00 p.m. and the Tigers Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
"Arkansas is just ahead of us in the SEC race. I know they will have a good crowd up there this weekend and it should be a good game" head coach Don Staley said.
The Tide will battle this weekend with two more players missing from their already depleted roster. Sophomore Cara Kelly will miss this weekend to attend her brothers wedding in Cincinnati and Senior Emily Pitek will miss the rest of the season after tearing her ACL in Sunday’s contest against Ole Miss. Pitek suffered the sixth season ending injury for Alabama this season.
Bama will look for their sixth straight win over LSU Sunday afternoon. The Tide is 9-1-1 all time vs. the Tigers. "LSU is having a great season and have played very tough even in their losses, they are a very dangerous team." Coach Staley said.
Alabama will return home to face Georgia on October 22 for their final home game of the year.
