Within this booklet, we introduce to you Tide Totals, a new points program that will determine priority for season ticket holders in our six current ticketed sports - football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, and gymnastics. The Tide Totals points program will officially begin on February 1, 2006.
The Tide Totals points program will not affect TIDE PRIDE's current per-seat/per-year donation concept, nor does it include automatic rearrangement of anyone's current season ticket locations in any sport. The primary purpose of Tide Totals is to provide a new way to distribute football road game tickets, as well as tickets to post-season events in all of our ticketed sports. It will also provide an opportunity for donors to the Crimson Tide Foundation to be included in road game and post-season event ticket offerings.
For years TIDE PRIDE was the only donor program for athletics, and we've been extremely fortunate to have had such a program in place for the past eighteen years in football and the past seven years in basketball. The gifts of its members have made TIDE PRIDE one of the most successful athletic donor programs in the nation.
Through an exhaustive and diligent process over the past few years, our administrative staff has studied other Southeastern Conference schools' athletic priority programs, in addition to programs of several non-conference institutions, and much was learned from this research. The end result - Tide Totals - is a program that will be fair and equitable for all University of Alabama season ticket holders.
Detailed information on Tide Totals is included in this booklet. Once you
read through it, if you have any questions, feel free to call the TIDE PRIDE Office at 205/348-6113, the Athletic Ticket Office at 205/348-2262, or the Athletic Development Office at 205/348-9727.
I thank you for your support and loyalty to our University of Alabama.
Sincerely,
Mal Moore
Director of Athletics
