Johnson Named Assistant Director of Compliance at UA

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - University of Alabama Athletics Director Mal Moore announced today the hiring of Kimberly N. Johnson as the Tide's new Assistant Director of Compliance. She will work directly for Associate AD Chris King in matters relating to the UA compliance program.
Johnson comes to Alabama from Tulane University where she has served as Assistant Director of Compliance since July of 2004. At the Capstone, Johnson will help oversee the primary operational responsibility of the compliance office as it relates to eligibility and financial aid for all student-athletes.
"We are excited to have Kimberly with us," King said. "She is very knowledgeable in compliance issues and will be a valuable asset to our program."
Prior to working at Tulane, Johnson worked inside Northwestern's athletic department from 1996 to 2004. In June 2001 she was hired as Compliance assistant and served in that capacity until moving to Tulane in 2004.
Johnson is a 2001 graduate of Northwestern with a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Communications Studies.
