Amid anticipation of the approach of Hurricane Ivan, the University of Alabama football team continued its preparation for the Western Carolina Catamounts today.
"The guys had good focus today," commented head coach Mike Shula. "(The hurricane) hasn't been a big distraction, the guys have been good. It's on everybody's minds obviously."
Shula added the various scenarios of keeping the team safe such has sheltering them in the locker room and in the training room. He went on to say there were many factors involved in reaching a decision and that the safest route possible would be taken.
Thursday and Friday practice schedules are currently in question due to the timing of the storm.
