2004 (Freshman): Marcus saw action in every game, primarily on special teams and finished with 94 snaps on the season. He had three tackles on the season, two against Auburn and one in the LSU game.
Prep: Carter signed with the Tide out of Fort Payne High School in Northeast Alabama. He was a two-way player for the Wildcats his senior year, playing running back and safety. In his junior campaign Carter had 105 carries for 710 yards and seven touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball Carter added 75 tackles and two interceptions (one for a touchdown). Marcus was selected to The Insiders.com South Hot 100 and was ranked as the 10th best prospect in Alabama by SuperPrep Magazine. He played basketball and also ran track.
Personal: Marcus is the son of Patricia Davis and Charles Carter and he has one older sister, Sherry. Born 6-1-86. He is in pre-major studies.
