Former Tide Football Player Selected in CFL Draft

Former Alabama defensive end Nautyn McKay-Loescher was selected in the second round of the Canadian Football League draft held in Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday.
McKay-Loescher was selected by the BC Lions with the 13th overall pick of the draft. A Toronto, Ontario native, McKay Loescher played in 12 of the Tide's 13 games in 2003, and had seven starts. He recorded 17 total tackles, including seven unassisted. He had five sacks and six tackles-for-loss.
He also added three pass break-ups and 19 QB hurries. McKay-Loescher earned playing time in 47 of the Tide's 48 games played during his career.
