On Sunday, Alabama left the bases loaded in the eighth and ninth innings in falling 3-2. The game ended when pinch-hitter Matt Downs was robbed of a game-winning, two-run double when Vandy RF Worth Scott made a spectacular over the shoulder catch and then slammed into the wall but managed to hang on to the baseball after he crashed to the ground on his back.
