
Myles Upchurch Invited to 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Training Camp

The freshman is among 56 non-draft eligible players to receive an invite to the USA Baseball Complex this summer
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama right-hander Myles Upchurch was invited to the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Training Camp, USA Baseball announced.
Upchurch is one of 56 budding collegiate non-draft eligible players to be extended an invite to Cary, N.C., for the summer. The Collegiate National Team will begin its summer slate with a six-game exhibition series, facing off against various ballclubs from the Appalachian League from June 27-29. The run of exhibition contests will wrap up June 29 when the Stars and Stripes teams each square off with the Appalachian League Select Team at the National Training Complex.
Following the three days of exhibition games, the annual intrasquad Stars vs. Stripes series will run from June 30-July 3, marking the conclusion of Training Camp. The roster for the 2026 USA Collegiate National Team will be announced on July 5 in preparation for the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship at Taichung City Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan, from July 11-15. USA Baseball will announce the full Collegiate National Team and Training Camp roster at a later date.

Myles Upchurch
Pitcher, Freshman
- Excelled thus far in his first collegiate season as the Sunday starter for the Crimson Tide
- Owns a 3.34 ERA (24 ER/64.2 IP) to go with an 8-3 record in 14 starts
- His 3.34 ERA is the lowest among the Tide's weekend starters while his .195 opponent batting average also stands as the lowest mark among all Alabama hurlers
- Entering postseason play, Upchurch's earned run average is tied for the sixth-lowest figure among qualified rookie starters in Division I
- Named to the 2026 SEC All-Freshman Team as the only rookie starter to fulfill all 10 available starts in conference play, producing a 3.91 ERA (29 ER/46.0 IP) in SEC contests
- One of only four Power Four freshman starting pitchers to complete all 14 available weekend starts
