TUSCALOOSA -- After consulting with the National Weather Service, the University of Alabama has postponed its baseball game with Centenary College on Wednesday, Feb 25, 2004 due to the forecast for heavy rains in the Tuscaloosa area.
“The weather forecast, plus the fact Centenary has such a long way to come, just did not make sense to play the game on Wednesday,” Alabama head coach Jim Wells said. “We have opted for another date later in the season.”
The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.
The Crimson Tide (5-2) will return to action this weekend hosting the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in a three-game series beginning Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. The teams will also play Saturday (4 PM) and Sunday (2 PM) at the Joe.
On Saturday, the Alabama baseball team will host “Little League Day” at the Joe. All little leaguers from Taylorville Little League, Duncanville Little League and Moundville Little League will be admitted to the SE Louisiana game for one dollar.
Alabama will also host “Little League Day” on Saturday, Mar. 13 when the Crimson Tide faces the SE Missouri State Indians at 4 p.m. and all members of the Kentuck Little League will be admitted for one dollar.
