Kitson Named SEC Track and Field Athlete of the Week

The Alabama women track and field team's Judyth Kitson was named Southeastern Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week after another standout weekend of competition.
The senior from Kingston, Jamaica posted a career best 11.36 in the 100-meter dash on her way to winning the SEC 5 Way Meet. She also ran a career best 23.67 in the 200m dash. It marked the second week in a row that she has run career best marks in those two events.
Kitson is ranked in the top-10 nationally in both the 100 and 200-meter races and is second in the conference in the 100-meters.
Kitson and the rest of the Crimson Tide return to action this weekend at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
