TIDE HOPES THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM VERSUS ARKANSAS
The University of Alabama women's basketball team open postseason play with the same team they closed the regular season against — the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks. The Tide and Lady 'Backs square off in the opening round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday afternoon (2:30 pm) in Little Rock. It will be the third meeting of the year for the two squads and it marks the third time they've me in the SEC Tourney. Bama won two of its last four games to close the season while Arkansas' win over UA on Sunday snapped a four-game skid for the Lady Razorbacks.
*The First Time Around — Arkansas scored a come-from-behind 59-58 victory on Feb. 2 thanks to a desperation three-pointer by India Lewis with under one second to play. The trey was Lewis' lone bucket of the contest.
*The REMATCH — Alabama again battled Arkansas down to the wire but a 20 point differential from the FT line proved too much for the Tide as the Lady 'Backs earned a 68-57 victory on their "Senior Day" this past Sunday.
