Alabama jumped off to a quick start by winning all three doubles matches. At number one doubles, Bama's Robin Stephenson and Stefanie Leung combined for an 8-6 win over UAB's Natascha Immele and Nadia Dellarciprete.
The Crimson Tide would then go on to claim five singles matches. The number four singles match was stopped with neither team receiving the point.
