When Jordan Praytor signed to play softball for the University of Alabama, she became the fourth member of the 2005 freshman class while also becoming the first signee at Alabama from the state of Washington.
Praytor, from Vancouver, Washington, is currently a senior at Heritage High School where she has broken both season and career records for batting average, hits and stolen bases.
“Jordan Praytor makes history as our first West coast signee,” said Alabama Head Coach Patrick Murphy. “She will be a triple-threat with her great speed from the left side of the plate and is also an outstanding student. We are very pleased she will make the University of Alabama home for the next four years.”
She is a three-time first team all-league player as well as a three-time “Columbian” All-County player. She helped lead her 2003 18-U team to the Gold Regional Championships and the Gold Nationals tournament in Salem, Oregon.
