The University of Alabama Softball team will be in action on Saturday, October 18, when they play three in-state schools in the second annual Fall Brawl.
This will be the first time the Crimson Tide has been in action since last years trip to the Women's College World Series and will give fans a sneak peak at the 2004 team.
The Fall Brawl gets started at 2:00 pm, when Alabama plays Central Alabama, followed by Jefferson State at 4:00 pm and ending the day with Shelton State at 6:00 pm.
The Alabama-Shelton State game will feature Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy vs. former player Melissa Daniels, who was coached by Murphy on the 2000 and 2001 Crimson Tide teams and helped the Tide make their first appearance in the 2000 Women's College World Series. Daniels is now the head coach at Shelton State.
"We are looking forward to seeing our hitters hit against someone besides our own pitchers and we want to see all of our field positions in game situations." Murphy said. "We are going to have three different lineups in each game. We are going to have speed, hitting and fielding. The fans are going to notice a big difference in each game."
Tickets for Saturday's tournament are good for all three games and are $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.
