Tide Women's Golf Heads to ACC/SEC Shootout

DESTIN, Fla. – The University of Alabama women’s golf team is headed to the gulf coast to take on 12 other teams and Mother Nature at this weekend’s Dodge ACC/SEC Shootout at the Raven Course of the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort.
The 54-hole event is scheduled to begin on Friday and run through Sunday but could be shortened depending on the effects of Hurricane Isidore. The Raven Course is a par 71 layout over 5,937 yards. Florida State serves as the host school for the event. The tournament field includes Alabama, Auburn, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Furman, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Wake Forest.
Alabama’s travel squad for the Shootout consists of Jenny Bouvin, Darby Sligh, Mandy Tedder, Anna Strandberg and Jordan Daniel, who is making her collegiate debut for the Tide. UA freshman Carina Sorensen is playing in the tournament as an individual competitor.
