2006 (Sophomore): Started in 11 of the 12 games at tight end. McCall ended the year with seven catches for 98 yards with one touchdown and a long of 22 yards. He caught passes in six games, including each of the final three contests. He recorded his first career touchdown on a 13-yard catch against Auburn in the final regular season game. Against Louisiana Monroe, he pulled down two catches for 41 yards, including a career long 22-yard grab. He caught one pass for 15 yards in the season opener against Hawai’i and caught a 12-yard pass at Florida. He also had a nine-yard catch against Mississippi State and an eight-yard grab at LSU. He finished the year with three tackles on special teams with two coming against Duke. He played a total of 635 snaps with a season-high 71 at Arkansas. He played over 40 snaps in all 12 games and played over 60 snaps four times.
2005 (Freshman): McCall saw action in every game, earning a start in the 2006 AT&T Cotton Bowl game against Texas Tech. He had one catch for one yard in that game. Used primarily as a blocking tight end he played a career high 41 snaps in the Crimson Tide’s 30-21 victory over Southern Miss. He made his first career reception against Mississippi State and had his most receiving yards on a 19-yard reception against Auburn.
Prep: Travis signed with the Tide in 2004, but fell thousandths of a point shy of qualifying. As a prep senior he played tight end and defense. He was a 6A All-State pick while helping Prattville to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He was also selected to the Birmingham News Super Senior list. He was rated the nation’s 9th-best tight end by Rivals.com and the 19th-best overall in-state prospect by Superprep Magazine.
Personal: Son of Curtis and Abigail McCall. Has an older brother, Curtis and a younger brother Dorian. Born 4-6-85. He is in pre-major studies.
