2004 Academic All-SEC
Matt had an outstanding spring practice and finished behind Freddie Roach at the middle linebacker position. He could be in the playing rotation this fall.
2004 (Freshman): Matt saw special teams action in every game, getting 96 snaps on the season. He had a career-high 18 snaps in the Western Carolina game. He had 2 tackles on the season.
2003 Redshirted
Prep: Collins was the only freshman on Clay-Chalkville's 1999 state championship team. He graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and was a National Honor Society selection.
Personal: He is the son of Susan and Danny Collins and he has a sister, Amanda and a brother, Drew. Born 12-15-84. He is in pre-major studies.
