After graduating in December of 2004, Charlie earned his Master’s Degree in Financial Planning in December of 2005.
2005 (Senior): Peprah finished his career with the longest active streak for consecutive starts at 38. He closed his career fifth on the Tide’s career interception return yards list with nine, accumulating 214 yards in interception returns, just 41 yards shy of the record of 255 yards (held by Bobby Luna from 1951-54) on nine interception returns. Peprah turned in a solid senior season, recording 43 tackles, forcing two fumbles and recovering two fumbles. He had three TFLs (-8) and four pass break-ups. He surpassed the 200 tackle plateau against LSU and finished his collegiate career with 210 tackles. He recorded 751 snaps this season, fourth most on the team. Peprah helped anchor a defense that ranked first in scoring defense (10.7 ppg), second in total defense (255.08), fifth in pass and pass efficiency defense (160.75 and 97.92) and ninth in rush defense (94.33).
2004 (Junior): Charlie earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Alabama in December. After playing cornerback for two years, it was a round-about move that brought Peprah to safety. An outstanding spring practice by Ramzee Robinson enabled coaches to move Charlie from cornerback to strong safety. He responded well and now has started 33 consecutive games in the Tide secondary. He closed the season with 51 tackles, including two tackles for loss. He had a season-high 11 tackles against Minnesota in the Music City Bowl, nine against Auburn, seven against South Carolina and six in the LSU game. He returned an interception 31 yards against Southern Miss. He needs just one interception return for a touchdown to tie the school record set by Antonio Langham (1990-93).
2003 (Sophomore): He closed the season with four interceptions for a team-leading 93 yards in returns. He also had 69 tackles, three stops behind the line for five yards and a team-best 14 pass break-ups. He forced one fumble and recovered two. He had 917 snaps and has now played 1,533 snaps in his two-year career. He had double-figure tackles against Georgia (10) and LSU (13) and had interceptions against South Florida (51 yards and TD), Arkansas (six yards), Mississippi State and LSU (36 yards). His 183 career return yards ranks sixth.
2002 (Freshman): A starter in eight of the Tide's 13 games, Charlie and departed senior Waine Bacon led the team in interceptions with four each. He also added 47 tackles, one stop behind the line and teamed with Nautyn McKay-Loescher for a sack in the Mississippi State game. Charlie had interceptions against Southern Miss (seven-yard return), Georgia (a 35-yard TD return that gave the Tide a 25-24 lead with 8:24 left in the game), Tennessee (a 48-yard return that led to a Tide touchdown in the 34-14 win) and Hawaii (no return). He played a total of 616 snaps on the season, including a career-high 62 in a start against Georgia.
2001 Redshirted
