2006 (Senior): Castille finished third on the team with 120 rushing yards on 40 carries with a team-leading five rushing touchdowns. He also had 14 receptions for 74 yards in 12 games. He had his best game against Florida International with seven carries for 26 yards and his 20th career touchdown with a season-long run of 11 yards. He also caught three passes for 11 yards against the Golden Panthers. He scored a touchdown in the season opener against Hawaii on a three-yard run. He scored his second touchdown on a three-yard run against Louisiana Monroe. Against Ole Miss, he ran one in from two yards out for his third touchdown. Castille scored Alabama’s only touchdown at Tennessee. He had two runs for 10 yards and four catches for 16 yards against Mississippi State. He also had two tackles against the Bulldogs. He played a total of 338 snaps with a season-high 41 at Florida. He played over 30 snaps in each of the final five games and had 20 or more snaps in 10 of the 12 contests. He served as the offensive captain twice against both Vanderbilt and Florida International.
2005 (Junior): The Tide’s short-yardage specialist, Castille led the team with seven rushing touchdowns. Castille played in 11 games, missing the Mississippi State game due to an injury. Tim rushed 45 times for 124 yards and had 10 receptions for 56 yards. He had a season-high 28 yards on nine carries and two TDs against Southern Miss. Tim spent spring practice rehabilitating his injured right knee, an injury sustained in the closing minutes of the Tennessee game of 2004 when a blindside tackle tore both the anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments in his right knee. He earned the Derrick Thomas Community Award for his off-the-field contributions following spring practice.
2004 (Sophomore): A do-it-all player for the Tide, Tim was a valuable runner, blocking back and receiver until he was lost for the season in the final moments of the Tennessee game. He closed his sophomore season with 62 carries for 237 yards and six touchdowns. He also had 14 receptions for 104 yards, but it was his blocking ability and short yardage scoring threat that were especially important. He had career highs of 12 carries for 47 yards against Southern Miss and he had two rushing TDs against Kentucky. Following the 2003 season, Tim changed from number 29 to 19, the number his father wore as an Alabama All-American from 1979-82. He earned a pair of spring awards, the “Johnny Musso Most Improved Offensive Back” and the “Dixie Howell Memorial Award” as the MVP of the A-Day game.
2003 (Freshman): Castille became just the eighth true freshman to start in a season opener since freshmen became eligible in 1973. Tim saw action in 12 of 13 games, missing the Kentucky contest with a knee injury. He had starts in 10 games. He was the Tide's fourth leading rusher (33 yards and two TDs) and fifth leading receiver (129 yards). He had six carries for 18 yards and one TD and one reception for four yards against Mississippi State. He closed the season with at least one pass reception in each of the final eight games.
Prep: Tim was No. 2 on The Birmingham News' Super Seniors list. He was rated Alabama's No. 9 prep prospect by BorderWars. As an eighth-grader playing wide receiver, Tim caught 65 passes for 1,194 yards and 11 touchdowns as Briarwood went undefeated and won the state title. As a junior, he had 913 yards and 22 TDs on 130 carries and also caught 55 passes for 825 yards and 12 touchdowns while playing with a strained knee most of the season. As a senior, Tim had 875 yards on 158 carries and nine touchdowns. He also caught 22 passes for 308 yards and one TD. For his career, Castille amassed 243 receptions for 4,122 yards and 41 TDs. He scored 163 career touchdowns.
Personal: He is the son of Jeremiah and Jean Castille. His brother, Simeon, also plays for the Tide and his father was an All-America defensive back for the Tide. He is a Communications major.
