2005 (Senior): When Tyrone Prothro was lost for the season with a broken leg, Brandon took over the punt and kickoff return duties. He finished the season with 11 punt returns for 77 yards (a 7.0 average) and he had six kickoff returns for 121 yards (a 20.2 average). He had a 33-yard punt return against Auburn. Brooks had one catch for 11 yards against Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl. Brandon earned his Accounting degree in May.
2004 (Junior): Working primarily on the Tide's kick return team, Brandon played in 10 of the Tide's 12 games. He had 25 punt returns on the season for 128 yards, a 5.1 average. He also had 10 kickoff returns for 244 yards, a 24.4 average. He had 96 snaps on the season. Brandon had a career-high six punt returns for 66 yards against Southern Miss.
2003 (Sophomore): Brandon played sparingly in the first nine games, but was a steady contributor in the final four contests. He combined as the Tide's punt and kickoff return man, averaging 7.8 yards per punt return and 34.3 on kickoff returns. He had four punt returns for 56 yards against Mississippi State and four kickoff returns for 162 yards, including a 96-yard TD against Auburn. That TD jaunt opened the second-half of play and was the third-longest kickoff return in Tide history.
2002 (Freshman): Brandon played two snaps on offense in the Crimson Tide's 31-0 win at LSU, his first career appearance for the Tide. He owns the receiver record in the 40-yard dash with a 4.35 mark.
2001 Redshirted
Prep: Shades Valley all-purpose back Brandon Brooks starred as a kick returner and wide receiver. As a senior, Brooks returned kicks, played wide receiver, running back and cornerback as his team went 8-5 on the season. He had 108 carries for 725 yards and 10 touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 325 yards and five touchdowns. He returned six punts for 121 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he had 52 tackles and six interceptions. His junior and senior seasons, Brooks returned seven punts for TDs and averaged 21.5 yards per return. Defensively, he had 52 tackles and six interceptions. As a senior, he defended his state indoor 55-meter championship with a 6.43 clocking. He won the state championship as a junior in the indoor 55-meters with a time of 6.51. In the spring of 2001, he finished fourth in the state in the 100 meters with a 10.8 clocking.
