Alabama Files Appeal With NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On Friday, April 12, 2002 The University of Alabama submitted materials in support of its appeal to the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee.

Under NCAA rules, the Committee On Infractions has 30 days to submit its response. The University then has 14 days in which to file a reply. After all documents have been submitted, the Infractions Appeals Committee will schedule and conduct a hearing on the appeal.

There is no set timetable for such a hearing or for a final decision on the appeal.

At this time, the University will make no further comment on its appeal.
