Tyus Hooks will enter his first season with the Alabama women's basketball team during the 2026-27 campaign after being named assistant coach and recruiting coordinator by head coach Pauline Love on April 9.

Oklahoma - Program Coordinator/Assistant Coach (2022-26)

Spent four seasons at Oklahoma (2022-26), helping the team reach three straight NCAA Tournaments
Aided in leading the Sooners to four consecutive 20-plus win seasons
Played a role in developing All-SEC selections Raegan Beers, Peyton Verhulst and Aaliyah Chavez
Helped in the signing of the nation's top-ranked 2025 recruiting class, highlighted by No. 1 overall prospect and Gatorade National Player of the Year Chavez
In his first season with the Sooners, assisted OU in a Big 12 regular season title and a second-round NCAA Tournament appearance
