Nick Stenuf joined the Alabama track and field staff as an assistant coach in February 2023. Stenuf oversees the Crimson Tide's women's distance/cross country runners.
Stenuf's Time at Alabama
- Through his two and a half years, Stenuf has already guided his group to the following accolades:
- One individual NCAA champion, four times in her career
- 21 First Team All-Americans
- Seven individual SEC champions and one SEC relay champion
- 15 All-SEC selections
- Six current UA school records
- Notable Crimson Tide student-athletes coached by Stenuf:
- Doris Lemngole - the program standout has already amassed four national titles through two seasons with the Tide, three of which coming in the 2024-25 cross/track season alone. Following her historic 8:58.15 time to defend her NCAA steeple crown, Lemngole became the program's first-ever finalist for The Bowerman. Additionally, Lemngole won the Honda Sport Award for Cross Country and was a finalist for the Honda Sport Award for Track and Field.
- Brenda Tuwei - secured first team All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the women's 10,000m. During the 2024 track and cross country seasons, Tuwei claimed SEC indoor silver in the women's 5,000m before clocking an All-American performance at the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
- Keaton Morrison - helped guide the UA women's cross country program to two SEC titles during her career and in her final season, qualified to the NCAA East First Round in both the 800m and the 1,500m.
- Lilly Walters - has been a mainstay in the Tide's distance events, earning scoring finishes in both SEC Championship-winning teams for the women's cross country program. Qualified in the steeplechase at the NCAA East First Round alongside teammate Doris Lemngole.
- Hilda Olemomoi - racked up multiple SEC medals and All-America honors across track and cross country during her two years with the Tide. Was an integral member of the Tide's 2022 SEC women's cross country title.
At Toledo
- Coached the men to a program-best, runner-up finish at the MAC Cross Country Championships in back-to-back years
- Assisted with the women's program that won consecutive MAC Cross Country Championships titles and re-wrote the Toledo women's track/field record books
At Ottawa University (Kansas)
- Served as the coordinator of student-athlete development and success, as well as the coordinator of the Student Achievement & Retention Corp. during his time in Kansas with Ottawa's cross country and track and field teams
At Duke
- Helped coach the Blue Devils' first NCAA indoor track and field qualifiers in the 5,000m and the distance medley relay before guiding the program's first-ever indoor sub 4-minute miler and sub 14-minute 5,000m runner
At UConn
- Member of the Big East Coaching Staff of the Year and a Huskies women's team that finished eighth at the NCAA Cross Country Championships
About Stenuf
- Earned a bachelor's degree in business education from the Nazareth College of Rochester in 2008
- Became the Golden Flyers' first three-season All-American, once in cross country and twice in indoor and outdoor track and field
- Five-time Empire 8 Conference Runner of the Year and the Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year
- Earned Atlantic Region Outdoor Runner of the Year honors in 2006
- Earned his master's degree in sports management from Florida State in 2014 andÂ
