Shelly Dyche enters her second season as Alabama volleyball's director of operations after serving the past two seasons as an assistant coach.

Her arrival at Alabama in 2015 reunited her with former Alabama head coach Ed Allen, as the two previously coached together for two seasons at Anderson University in Anderson, Ind.

Dyche assisted Allen in his first two seasons at Anderson University in 1992-93. There, they helped set the stage for what would be a successful 11-year run for Allen. Following her stint at Anderson, Dyche started in 1996 as a high school volleyball coach and K-6 physical education teacher in the Lewis Palmer School District in Monument, Colo., and has spent the past 19 years at that position. She has been involved with coaching volleyball at various levels for over 30 years.
