Jake Barreau joined Alabama as an assistant coach in the spring of 2025.

Responsible for the recruitment of players such as Nalani Iosia who ranked second in the Big Ten in total digs (516, 4.57/set), along with Zuzanna Kulig who finished fourth in the Big Ten in blocks (154, 1.41/set)

at Illinois State - Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator (2021)

Helped lead the Redbirds to a third consecutive Missouri Valley Conference championship and a fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance
Assisted with the offensive game plan that tallied the ninth most kills nationally (1701,13.5/set) in his year with the program

at Oklahoma - Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator (2018-20)

Working with the Sooners' defense, held opponents to a .177 hitting percentage in 2019

The Bears ranked fifth nationally in digs in 2015 and eighth in 2016
Helped the Bears to a combined 98 wins, three NCAA Tournament trips and the 2016 and 2017 MVC regular season title during his four seasons
