James Mulcahy enters his sixth year as Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama in 2021-22.
A Brockville, Ontario, Canada native, Mulcahy most recently served as the junior and high performance coach with the Argonaut Rowing Club.
Mulcahy's athletes at the Argonaut Rowing Club earned 28 medals at the 2015 Provincial Championships, six at the 2015 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta and four at the 2015 Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships. Mulcahy also coached Team Canada at both the 2015 and 2016 CanAmMex Regatta. He previously served as the varsity women's rowing coach at the University of Toronto and as the head coach of the Saskatoon Rowing Club.
Mulcahy was a competitive rower from 2000-08, lettering for four years at Columbia (2005-08) and serving as captain of the Columbia University Varsity Heavyweight Crew during his final three years.
