Colsten Thompson enters his third season with the Alabama women's basketball program in 2023-24 and his second season as assistant coach and director of player development and recruiting operations.
Alabama (2022-Present)
- Helped Alabama to a 24-10 record and to the program's 13th NCAA Tournament berth during the 2023-24 season
- Assisted in the team's 23-8 regular season record – the most regular season wins for the Crimson Tide since 1991-92
- Helped lead UA to a 10-6 record during SEC play, marking the third time in program history that the Tide has collected at least 10 conference wins
- Assisted in the development of two All-SEC players in Sarah Ashlee Barker (first team) and Aaliyah Nye (second team) and an SEC All-Freshman honoree Essence Cody
- Involved in scouting, film breakdown, individual workouts, practices, and in the on-court male player practice players program
- Designated as an off-campus recruiter along with recruiting liaison for all recruiting efforts
- Coordinated official and unofficial visits and recruiting content creation
- Assisted in recruiting operations for the 2024 recruiting class
- Served as the director of recruiting operations and creative content in 2022-23
