Two Former Alabama Players Sign Professional Women’s Basketball Contracts Overseas

JeAnna Cunningham and Christabel Ezumah will play in Montenegro and Spain, respectfully, for the 2025-26 season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama women's basketball players, JeAnna Cunningham and Christabel Ezumah, both have signed professional contracts in Europe.
For the 2025-26 season, Cunningham signed with ZKK Buducnost Bemax in Podgorica, Montenegro, while Ezumah will compete with the Spanish Women's LF2 League team, AD Cortegada, in Vilagarcía de Arousa, Spain.
All five of the Crimson Tide's 2025 graduates have now signed professional contracts, with Sarah Ashlee Barker (Los Angeles Sparks) and Aaliyah Nye (Las Vegas Aces) competing in the WNBA, and Zaay Green (Kibirkštis Vilnius) joining Cunningham and Ezumah overseas.
JeAnna Cunningham
- Appeared in 32 games, making her first career start versus Missouri (Jan. 5)
- Scored a season-high 10 points alongside six rebounds in Alabama's win at Arkansas (Jan. 19)
- Grabbed nine rebounds in a win against Alabama State (Nov. 25, 2024)
- Named to 2024-25 SEC Community Service Team
Christabel Ezumah
- Appeared in 31 games, averaging 9.7 minutes per game
- Played a season-high 22 minutes in the Crimson Tide's win over Green Bay in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (Mar. 22)
- Scored a season-high eight points in two contests: vs. Georgia State (Dec. 2, 2024) vs. Maryland (Mar. 24)
- Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in UA's victory over Green Bay in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (Mar. 22)
