David Miller joined the Alabama basketball team in the summer of 2015 and begins his first season as the assistant video coordinator.
Prior to his arrival in Tuscaloosa, Miller spent a total of five seasons at the University of Arizona under head coach Sean Miller (2010-13 as a manager and 2013-15 as a graduate manager). While there, Miller was a part of an Arizona program that earned three Pac-12 championships and four NCAA Tournaments, including three elite eight appearances and one sweet 16 showing.
Miller’s role with the Wildcats included aiding the coaching staff in individual and team workouts, in addition to various operational and video duties.
Miller played college basketball at El Camino Junior College before transferring to Arizona, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English in 2013.
The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native earned his graduate degree from Arizona in 2015 in education. He is the son of Dave Miller, whose 20-year coaching career saw him work both on the college level and in the NBA. The elder Miller currently serves as an analyst during Los Angeles Lakers games broadcast on Time Warner SportsNet.
