Alex Accetta is in her fourth year with Alabama men’s basketball and in her second season as the program’s operations coordinator.
In her current role, Accetta assists with a multitude of projects throughout the year, including helping coordinate on-campus recruiting visits, assisting the director of operations with team travel and logistics, home and away game ticket requests for coaches, staff, visiting recruits and their families and serving as the point-of-contact in regards to home game needs for staff and special guests. In addition, she plays an important role for the program’s events such as Pro Day, Parents Weekend, Coach Avery Basketball Camps and working with guest speakers along with other team functions throughout the year, among other duties.
Prior to her current role, Accetta worked as a student assistant in the UA men’s basketball office from 2015-17. During that time, she assisted with the day-to-day operations and needs of the coaches and support staff, as well as certain tasks assigned by head coach Avery Johnson.
Accetta comes from a basketball background, as she spent three years (2010-13) working closely with Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, who was the head coach and assistant general manager with the Texas Legends of the NBA G-League.
Accetta, a native of Dallas, earned her degree in business management from UA and graduated in May of 2017.
