OUTLOOK:
         With one successful season under his belt, Tyler White is poised to take the next step in        the Alabama pitching rotation ... he sports a power fastball and solid breaking ball ...        needs to be more consistent with his control ... posted a 1-0 record with two saves and a        team-best 2.28 ERA as a redshirt freshman in 2009 ... racked up 37 strikeouts in 27 innings        ... averaged 12.3 strikeouts per nine innings ... had an excellent summer in the 2008        Coastal Plains League, where he played for the Wilmington (N.C.) Sharks ... led the team        with 55 strikeouts and an incredible 15.5 strikeouts per nine innings this summer in the        wooden-bat league ... tossed six no-hit innings in lone start of the summer.
2009 SUMMER BASEBALL:
         Played this past summer with the Deland Suns in the Florida Summer Collegiate        League ... helped team to a 25-13 overall record and regular-season championship ... played        on same team as UA teammates Brandt Hendricks and Jimmy Nelson ... also played on same team        with Mississippi outfielder Tyler Hashman and Georgia pitcher Eric Sewgman ... led the FCSL        with seven saves ... appeared in 14 games and recorded 35 strikeouts in 17 innings on the        mound ... notched his first save against Clermont (2 IP, 4 K) on June 10 ... recorded final        save of season in playoff win over Clermont on July 10.

         Appeared in three postseason games against LSU, Oklahoma State and Tennessee Tech        during the 2009 season ... he worked 6 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on three hits with        no walks and seven strikeouts ... he retired all three first batters and stranded five of        six inherited runners ... made his postseason debut at the 2009 SEC Tournament against LSU        on May 21 ... he worked 3 1/3 innings and allowed two runs on two hits and fanned four ...        pitched in both games at NCAA Clemson Regional ... retired five of six batters faced        against Oklahoma State on May 29 ... also retired five of six batters ( 3 K) and stranded        three inherited runners against Tennessee Tech on May 30.

Sharks in the Coastal Plains League ... led the team with 55 strikeouts and posted        an incredible 15.5 strikeouts per nine innings ... posted 0-3 record and 2.48 ERA in 13        appearances ... worked 32 2/3 innings and allowed nine earned runs, 12 hits and 22 walks        ... compiled 3:1 strikeout to walk ratio ... in lone start of the summer, White threw six        no-hit innings and allowed one unearned run with seven strikeouts on July 30.
HIGH SCHOOL:
         A 2007 graduate of Brandon (Miss.) High School where he was a three-year        letterman for Coach Neill Bartling, who played at Alabama under Coach Jim Wells ... helped        lead Brandon to a 25-7 record and a No. 13 final ranking by The Jackson Clarion Ledger in        2007 ... led Brandon to a district championship in 2007 ... was a two-time "Mississippi        Fabulous 15" selection by The Jackson Clarion Ledger (2006 and 2007) ... as a senior in        2007, he pitched 55 innings and logged 57 strikeouts ... was selected to play in the        Mississippi High School Athletic Association All-Star Game ... also pitched in the        Crossroads Diamond Club All-Star Game ... played for the Mississippi Prospect in the        National Amateur Baseball Federation in the summers of 2006 and 2007 ... played for Coach        Josh Buford ... member of the Beta Club and the National Honors Society ... graduated with        honors.
PERSONAL:
         Full name is Tyler Lee White ... son of Chester and Charlotte White ... has two        siblings, Brian and Allison ... threw the first no-hitter in Trustmark Park (home of        Southern League's Mississippi Braves) history during his junior season at Brandon High        School (2006).
