Suffered an elbow injury in the May 15 contest against Vanderbilt to cut his junior season short ... made 18 appearances overall across 21.0 IP with 18 strikeouts, all career-highs for the junior ... went 1-1 and owned a 3.86 ERA (9 ER/21.0 IP) while limiting opposing hitters to a team-low .197 average ... notched at least one strikeout in 12 of his outings ... did not allow a run across his first five appearances of the season. Maryland Eastern Shore (2/15): Worked 1.0 inning in his first appearance of 2015. Lipscomb (3/7): Tossed 2.0 innings, striking out two and walking one. Georgia (4/10): Earned his first win of the season in the series-opener with the Bulldogs ... tossed 1.1 innings while allowing a hit and walk before the Tide rallied in the 11th for the game-winning run. UAB (4/14): Went 1.0 inning, striking out two Blazers in the nationally televised contest. Alabama A&M (5/5): Struck out a season-high three batters across his inning of work in game two of the doubleheader. Vanderbilt (5/15): Tossed 0.2 IP before exiting with an injury that would end his season.
SOPHOMORE (2014)
Made 11 appearances in 2014 ... also appeared as a pinch-hitter three times during the season, including the March 11 game against Samford when he remained in the game to play first base. Stephen F. Austin (2/22): Pitched the final inning of a combined shutout over Stephen F. Austin, finishing the game with a 1-2-3 inning. Texas A&M (4/5): Struck out one across a scoreless frame in College Station. Southern Miss (4/22): Threw the final 1.2 innings against the Golden Eagles, striking out one. Florida (5/2): Limited No. 5 Gators to a hit in 0.2 scoreless innings.
FRESHMAN (2013)
Named to the 2013 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll ... finished his freshman campaign with a 2-1 record and a 3.65 ERA in 12.1 IP ... made four relief appearances in SEC play, posting one win and a 2.08 ERA against conference competition. Virginia Military Institute (2/16): Made his Alabama debut in game two of the season-opening series with VMI, earning a pinch-hit walk in the game. Tulane (3/2): Made the first start of his career, slotted in the lineup as the designated hitter. Samford (2/26): Threw 2.0 scoreless innings, including four punchouts, to earn his first career win. Louisville (3/8): Went 2.1 scoreless IP and struck out two in the series opener at the fifth-ranked Cardinals. Missouri (5/12): Earned the second win of his career after pitching 2.1 scoreless IP in the finale against the Tigers ... combined for three scoreless innings of relief in back-to-back games in that Mizzou series.
