Apple Account Binding
Apple users,
Your mobile tickets are getting more secure. Here's what you need to know:
What's Changing and First Time Setup
- Your tickets now work like Apple Pay. When you add your first single event mobile ticket to Apple Wallet this season, add one ticket (do not select "Add All") to your wallet. Follow the Apple verification prompt (using Face ID, Touch ID, or your password). This creates a secure connection between your Alabama Athletics ticket account and your Apple iCloud account. Note: Season ticket ALL-IN-1 passes currently will not be prompted to authenticate your tickets until they're transferred to someone else.
- Once set up, future tickets from Alabama Athletics are automatically and securely bound to your Apple Account. You don't need to authenticate again unless you're using a different device or there's a security concern. You may also use the "Add All" feature going forward without issue.
- You will always want to share your tickets using the free ticket transfer option on RollTide.com/MyAccount.
Sharing Tickets
- Always use the free, official ticket transfer feature on RollTide.com/MyAccount to share your tickets. All you need is your contact's email or phone number. Step-by-step instructions are available at rolltide.com/mobiletickets.
- Sharing logins, screenshots, or emails with ticket links will result in disabled passes. Everyone who needs a ticket on their device needs to have it transferred to them using the transfer button on My Account, accept a transferred ticket using their own Alabama Athletics ticket account, and add it to their phone's Apple Wallet. Each individual will need their own Alabama Athletics ticket office account to manage their tickets and will be prompted to sign in or create a new account during the transfer process.
Visual Indicators
Look for the "Hold Near Reader" icon on your pass in Apple Wallet. This shows your ticket is properly linked and ready to scan.
If you don't see this icon:
- Check that you're signed into the same Apple Account used when first adding tickets.
- If you're using a different Apple ID from the primary account owner, ask the original ticket holder to transfer you the tickets using RollTide.com/MyAccount. You need to create your own ticket office account so that you can connect the tickets with your own Apple ID.
- Try removing and re-adding the ticket from Apple Wallet.
- Ensure you're connected to wi-fi or cellular data.
- If problems persist, contact the Alabama Athletics Ticket Office at (205) 348-2262 (Hours: Mon - Fri, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT)
What is Account Binding?
Account binding adds security to your mobile tickets by binding them to your Apple ID. This prevents unauthorized sharing while keeping the same easy entry experience you're used to.
Before anyone adds a ticket to Apple Wallet, your group needs to designate one person as the primary account contact.
The primary account contact is always first to download tickets into their Apple Wallet.
Always use the RollTide.com/MyAccount transfer feature to share tickets with family and friends. Sharing logins, screenshots, emails, or texts with ticket links will result in disabled passes and will not work for entry.
The first person to add a ticket from your Alabama Athletics account to an Apple Wallet permanently binds that account to their Apple ID. All future tickets from that account must either go to the same user's Apple Wallet or be officially transferred.

- The primary account contact transfers tickets to anyone who will enter the event separately via RollTide.com/MyAccount
