Larkin Thomason Named to 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Mid-Season Watch List

The senior forward leads the Crimson Tide with nine goals and 20 points
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama senior forward Larkin Thomason is one of 30 players named to the 2026 MAC Hermann Trophy Mid-Season Watch List, announced Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization of Coaches (IWSOC), in partnership with United Soccer Coaches.
The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor, recognizing the National Player of the Year. Fifteen players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on Dec. 4. It will be narrowed down from that list to three finalists, with the winner to be announced on Jan. 8, 2027, at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.
Thomason leads the Crimson Tide with nine goals and 20 points this season, which are both tied for third in the SEC. Three of her goals have been game winners, which is tied for the second most in the SEC. Six of her goals have come on penalty kicks, which already surpasses the previous Alabama season record of four PKs originally set in 2002 and then later matched in 2011. The Scottsdale, Ariz., native surpassed the 100 career points mark earlier this season, having earned 62 points in two seasons at Mercer (2023-24) along with 44 points since with the Tide as she currently sits at 106.
