- Both Yleymi Muelle (7-6(0), 6-3) and Amina Salibayeva (6-0, 7-6(2)) advanced to the second round of the pre-qualifying singles draw after earning straight-set victories.
- Muelle and Salibayeva will return to the courts on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. CT for the second round, while Addison Bowman, who fell in the first round of pre-qualifying, will play in a consolation match at Noon
Sunday, Sept. 20Â
- Salibayeva advanced to the pre-qualifying round of 32 with two singles wins, 6-4, 7-5 and 6-4, 6-4, while Muelle fell in the second round of pre-qualifying. Bowman fell her consolation match
