Montana Fouts Wins 2026 AUSL Championship with Utah Talons

For the second consecutive season, Fouts clinched the title with a complete game in the circle
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the second consecutive season, Alabama alum and four-time All American Montana Fouts pitched a complete game victory to secure an Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Championship as the Utah Talons defeated the Chicago Bandits, 6-1, Sunday at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.
Behind a complete game effort from Fouts with just one run allowed on eight hits with four strikeouts, the Talons clinched the best-of-three championship series over the Bandits with the 6-1 win Sunday following a 2-1 decision in game one Saturday. The 2023 Alabama alum was named this year's AUSL Pitcher of the Year, setting a single-season league record with 63 strikeouts across 61.1 innings pitched, posting a 7-4 record with a 2.36 ERA. In last year's inaugural AUSL season, Fouts and the Talons won the championship in front of a sellout crowd at Rhoads Stadium.
During her time at the Captsone from 2019-23, Fouts earned 100 career wins in the circle while helping lead Alabama to a 2019 SEC regular season title, a 2021 SEC Tournament title and three Women's College World Series appearances. She was named the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year, 2021 SEC and NFCA Pitcher of the Year and the 2023 Softball America Pitcher of the Year. In 2023, she became the first Alabama softball athlete to win the Honda Sport Award.
