For their performances over the week, Pupillo, Jocelyn Briski and Ambrey Taylor were named to the SEC All-Tournament Team.
The Crimson Tide now awaits its postseason seeding which will be announced on Sunday, May 10 on the NCAA Tournament Selection Show at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
From Head Coach Patrick Murphy
"Thanks to everybody at Kentucky for putting on a great tournament and the fans for coming out. It's really cool to see so many softball fans in this part of the country come out and see a really good tournament all week long. Texas was the better team today. Lex [Pupillo] got the big rip in the first and we really didn't do anything after that. You've got to credit Ms. Tegan [Kavan] for bouncing back. She didn't give up much after that. We had the bases loaded and we had two Ks. That was an opportunity to get back into it. She just cruised basically. Too many strikeouts by us. We didn't put the ball in play enough and force them to make any plays."
