
Jocelyn Briski Named SEC Pitcher of the Year, Patrick Murphy SEC Coach of the Year

Briski and Brooke Wells earn First Team All-SEC honors, Marlie Giles and Alexis Pupillo Second Team
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference announced its postseason softball awards Friday, with Alabama junior Jocelyn Briski selected as the SEC Pitcher of the Year and head coach Patrick Murphy earning his league-record sixth SEC Coach of the Year accolade.
Briski's Pitcher of the Year accolade is the eighth in Crimson Tide history, the most of any SEC team, and the first since Montana Fouts in 2021. Murphy's six SEC Coach of the Year accolades are also the most in league history, previously winning in 2006, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2019.
Additionally, Briski and Brooke Wells earned All-SEC First Team honors while Marlie Giles and Alexis Pupillo took home All-SEC Second Team accolades. It is the first career All-SEC accolade for all four players and improves Alabama's all-time total to 123.
