
Jocelyn Briski Named Top 10 Finalist for 2026 USA Softball Player of the Year

The junior RHP is second nationally with a 9.21 strikeout-to-walk ratio
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior pitcher Jocelyn Briski has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the 2026 USA Softball Player of the Year award, it was announced Wednesday.
Briski, who was named the SEC Pitcher of the Year, is the Crimson Tide's first top 10 finalist for USA Player of the Year since Haylie McCleney in 2016. The junior from Phoenix, Ariz., owns a 21-3 record across 30 appearances in 2026 with a 1.45 ERA and 175 strikeouts. Her 9.21 strikeout-to-walk ratio is second nationally and leads the Southeastern Conference. Briski owns ranked wins this season over Florida State, Arkansas (x3), Texas and Tennessee.
The list will be narrowed three finalists on May 18, with the winner being announced on May 26 in Oklahoma City prior to the start of the 2026 Women's College World Series.
