William Jennings is in a tie for second at 10-under par, Alabama in 10th as a team
SEA ISLAND, Ga. – William Jennings is in a tie for second overall and continues to lead the No. 17 Alabama men's golf team after 36 holes played of the 2026 SEC Men's Golf Championships. As a team, the Crimson Tide is in a three-way tie for 10th overall with a team score of 9-under par 551 (272-279).
Jennings will enter the third round two shots back of overall leader Jackson Koivun of Auburn (-12) with two-day total of 10-under par 130. As a team, the Tide is just three strokes back of eighth-place South Carolina, who holds the final match play qualifying spot heading into Friday's final round of stroke play.
Round Two Highlights
- William Jennings 36-hole score of 10-under 130 (64-66) is a career-best after carding an 18-hole career-low of 64 in round one
- After collecting eight birdies in round one with another six in round two, Jennings shares the tournament lead with 14 total birdies across his 36 holes played
- Nick Gross (67-73) and Connor Brown (70-70) are tied for 44th with both carding identical scores of even par 140
- Brown leads the field with 31 pars, two better than the next closest individual
- Brycen Jones improved by five strokes from round one to round two and is in a tie for 66th at 5-over par 145 (75-70)
- Jonathan Griz rounds out the starting lineup at 6-over par 146 (71-75)

- Top-ranked Auburn (-27) owns a five-stroke advantage over No. 3 Texas (-22) heading into the final round of match play with the teams battling for the top overall seed

- No. 30 Texas A&M (-16), No. 41 Mississippi State (-16) and No. 39 South Carolina (-12) are the final three teams above the match play cutline
