The Crimson Tide posts its 20th shutout of the season, increases its home run count to 79
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama softball posted its 20th shutout of the season Tuesday night, blanking UAB 6-0 at Mary Bowers Field.
Alabama (43-4) didn't allow a UAB (20-27) baserunner to reach safely after the second inning, as Vic Moten (16-3) capped the complete-game shutout on a streak of 16-straight batters retired while striking out 10. Lauren Johnson and Alexis Pupillo each hit home runs in the win, improving the Crimson Tide's season total to 79 which is now tied for the fifth-most in program history.
