Freshman Mary Sidelynk’s straight-set win highlighted the Crimson Tide in the road match

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Alabama women's tennis team (12-8, 4-8 SEC) fell to No. 13 LSU (13-7, 6-6 SEC), 4-1, in a road match at the LSU Tennis Complex.

Mary Sidelynk highlighted the Crimson Tide with a two-set (6-1, 6-3) victory on court six. UA saw three courts go into a third set as Amina Salibayeva led 3-1 on court five when LSU clinched the match.

Match Notes

Sidelynk put the Tide on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Florentine Dekkers on court six
The Tigers clinched the team victory with single wins on courts one, two and three
Addison Bowman and Salibayeva were both battling in a third set on courts four and five, respectively, when the overall match was decided
